NCTMB #611189-11

Wendi has 15+ years of experience and studied anatomy and physiology intensely while learning various techniques in Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial release, sports massage and ashiatsu, which she incorporates into each massage depending on the needs and preferences of the client. She has a special knack for relieving shoulder and neck tension.  A long time yoga practitioner and teacher, she loves to incorporate active and passive stretching and joint mobility. She finds it very rewarding to watch the transformation of clients as they become more aware of their bodies ability to change and heal with regular body work. Wendi has owned Spa Makaiwa since 2014.

Enisa, LMT

Hawaii State License #15190

Enisa is originally from Los Angeles and in search of healing came to Kauai in 2014. Along with the island's natural rejuvenating properties, she found massage to be very healing. Inspired by her experiences, she pursued a career in body work and graduated from Aloha Lomi Massage Academy in 2017, learning a wide range of modalities including Kauai Lomi Lomi massage. She's been receiving massage for most of her life and is now able to reciprocate the healing she received which she finds deeply satisfying.

Lora, LMT

Hawaii State License #15401

Lora is a graduate of Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy where she learned the techniques and benefits of trigger point therapy, Swedish massage, and Myofascial Release. She relocated to Hawaii to share the healing modalities of massage therapy with the locals and travelers of the islands. She studied Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage on Kauai in 2016 and began working with Spa Makaiwa in 2018. She brings her knowledge and body awareness from 20 years of yoga practice and 10 years teaching yoga. She's an artist by trade with roots in painting, drawing, and performance. Her background in creative work inevitably influences her massage work; always in effort to promote relaxation, better circulation, and more ease of movement. Body work is an art as well as a science, and the body wants to heal.

Griet, LMT

Hawaii State License #15563

Originally from Belgium, I've been living between New Zealand and Hawai’i for the past two decades.

My professional background is in special education but ten years into my teaching career I honored my desire to work more therapeutically and delve deeper into the realm of well-being. I trained as a massage therapist, completed my Wayfinder Life Coach training through the Martha Beck Institute and am currently in yoga teacher training.

My fascination with the Mind Body Soul Connection was sparked from an early age through my mother. Looking for an anchor within, she'd turned to yoga and holistic living. Since flying the nest, I've felt increasingly drawn to traditional healing practices and the natural world. In my work I intend to tune into the body’s innate ability to heal by assisting it to release existing physical and energetic blockages. I draw from a wide variety of modalities such as Swedish, Lomi Lomi, Reflexology, Cranio Sacral Therapy and Energy Medicine.
